Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Columbia, MD, offers the Hyper Vision HPV-1 ultra-high-speed video camera that can record up to one million frames per second. It produces high-definition images at a resolution of 312 x 260 — up to 80,000 pixels per image. It features storage capabilities built directly into the camera’s imaging chip, enabling it to save 100 monochrome shots in BMP, TIF, or AVI formats. The camera can be used with general-purpose Nikon F-mount SLR lenses, and features dedicated control unit software that enables quick-start recording.
