Toshiba Imaging Systems Division, Irvine, CA, has released the remote-head IK-TF5H5U camera that measures 32.6×38.6×41 mm. It is part of the IK-TF 3CCD color camera series and features a progressive scan system that delivers precision color images with no image-jitter. The 5.74-ounce system comes with CameraLink® output, a C-mount, and two optional cable lengths of 3 and 5 meters for configuration into machine vision systems where space is limited.

The camera system utilizes a proprietary 3CCD prism block technology to deliver true-color images with video output of 659 × 494 pixels at 60 frames per second at full frame, and up to 180 frames per second in partial scan mode. It features 1/100- to 1/100,000-second electronic shuttering and external triggering. It is suitable for imaging high-speed machine vision processes, and industrial, scientific, security, and R&D applications.
