Position Transducer

The Micropulse® Generation 7 linear position transducer line from Balluff (Florence, KY) includes models with SSI Synchronous Serial Interface. Micropulse SSI-output transducers interface with control systems from manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley, Delta Computer, Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, and others. With position resolution to 1 μm, the transducers are suitable for linear positioning and closed-loop control applications.

The position transducers offer resistance to mechanical shock and vibration, advanced user-configuration options, and feature stroke lengths from 25 to 7620 mm. They are pressure rated to 600 bar for use in hydraulic cylinders, offer update rates up to 5 kHz, and offer a userconfigurable via PC/USB interface.
