IDS Imaging Development Systems (Woburn, MA) has introduced the GigE uEye LE, a new boardlevel industrial camera that measures a mere 45mm × 45mm for integration into small spaces. Thanks to its GigE interface the camera can deliver frame rates of 50 fps at full resolution. It comes equipped with the latest 1.3 Megapixel CMOS sensor from e2v and available as mono or color. An NIR version is also available.

When used with IDS software package 4.01, the e2v sensor offers a new Log mode for HDR images that enables the capture of sharp details even in overexposed and high dynamic range scenes. Additionally, the new sensor offers 4 shutter modes — rolling shutter, rolling shutter with global start, global shutter and global shutter with alternative timing. The GigE uEye LE board camera has digital in- and outputs for trigger, flash, pulse-width modulation and 2 GPIOs.
