Edmund OpticsR (Barrington, NJ) has introduced new Super Polished Mirror Substrates. Super Polished Mirror Substrates are available in both Fused Silica and Zerodur. The substrates offer a 1/10λ surface accuracy.

When the substrates are manufactured, the super polishing is applied to the first surface of the substrate, and a commercial polishing is applied to the second surface. The precision substrates are then ready to be coated. The products are available in 12.5-mm and 25-mm diameter sizes, with 1Å and 2Å surface roughness options.
