Ridgetop Group has been selected for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from NASA. Under the agreement, Ridgetop will develop an advanced system that mitigates faults in complex systems, ranging from flight control to electric power distribution, with autonomic recovery requirements.

Ridgetop will embody fault-to-failure progression (FFP) degradation signature modeling and processing methods into a modular software tool suite for advanced FM design and architecture. In addition, the prognostics and health management (PHM) specialist will integrate its prognostic algorithms to produce fast and accurate state-of-health (SoH) and remaining useful life (RUL) estimates. The main applications for the technology include space vehicles, aerospace, automotive, critical transit systems, and factory automation.
