Lin Engineering (Morgan Hill, CA) offers the R1025 stepper motor driver that can be used with stepper motors ranging from NEMA 8 to NEMA 42. The driver is capable of output currents ranging from 0.8 to 10 amps peak while handling 12 to 80VDC of input voltage. With selectable step resolutions from full stepping to 256x microstepping, the driver is capable of stepping a typical 1.8 degree motor over 51,000 steps per revolution. It features a small footprint and accessible mounting holes. The driver includes three selectable damping modes, as well as onboard DIP switches, eliminating the need to connect it to a computer.
