Kollmorgen (Radford, VA) has announced Kollmorgen Automation Suite IDE Version 2.7, which includes new runtime features and IDE enhancements that accelerate machine integration for OEMs. The software is used to program and refine most automated functions, including line shafting, gearing, and camming. The software is also used to incorporate specified Kollmorgen and third-party components, including software, controls, HMI, I/O, drives, motors, and mechanicals. Using integrated screens for device scan and network configuration, an EtherCAT configuration tool allows integrators and OEMs to set up their own ECAT systems and configure all devices from a single development tool. The Kollmorgen Visualization Builder (KVB) 2.0 HMI software for operator panels is included in the new release.
