Pressure Sensors

Measurement Specialties (Hampton, VA), now part of TE Connectivity, has released the MS5837-30BA, a low-power, compact, gel-filled pressure sensor with an I2C bus interface and high resolution of 2 mm. The device has a 3.3 × 3.3 × 2.5-mm ceramic- metal package. The pressure sensor features a delta sigma ADC that offers 24-bit pressure and temperature values, while using 0.6 μA. The sensor has a response time of 0.5 ms, as well as a pressure range of 0 bar to 30 bar in temperatures from -20°C to +85°C. The anti-magnetic, stainless-steel cap and silicone gel protect the internal electronics and provide water resistance. The I2C bus allows the sensor to interface with other microcontrollers.
