JAI (Shanghai, China/San Jose, CA) has introduced the GO-2400-PGE, an industrial camera featuring Sony’s IMX174, a 2.35-megapixel global shutter CMOS imager. The camera offers a maximum resolution of 1936 x 1216 pixels, while running at 48.8 frames per second over a GigE Vision interface. Power can be provided via the GigE Vision interface or via a 6-pin GPIO connector.

The 29 x 29 x 41.5 mm GO-2400-PGE weighs 46 grams. The cameras include an 80G shock rating, 10G vibration rating, and a standard operating temperature range of -5°C to +45°C. Using the IMX174’s deep pixel wells (>30,000 electrons) and a low noise architecture adapted from Sony’s CCD technology, the GO-2400-PGE delivers a signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 60 dB. Two GO-2400-PGE models are available — the GO-2400M-PGE with 8-, 10-, or 12-bit monochrome output (including near-infrared sensitivity), and the GO-2400C-PGE offering 8-, 10-, or 12-bit raw Bayer color output.
