Divelbiss Corporation (Frederickstown, OH) has introduced enhanced models of the Versatile Base (VB-2000) family of OEM controllers. Programmed using the no-cost Divelbiss EZ Ladder Toolkit in Ladder Diagram, Function Block, and Structured Text, and based on P-Series PLC on a ChipTM technology, the VB-2XXX family is mounted using industry standard DIN rail and has a high I/O count with 12 digital inputs, 3 high speed counter inputs, 8 digital outputs rated for 2A each (which are all PWM capable), 7 analog inputs which are user configurable as 0-5V, 0-10V, or 0-20mA inputs and 1 analog output that is user configurable as 0-10V or 0-20mA. Additional digital and analog I/O, including thermocouple inputs may be added using plug-in expansion boards.
