Custom alloys have been produced with gold, silver, palladium, platinum, copper, and/or nickel as major constituents, with other elements sometimes added. Such alloys are usually vacuum-cast and made by combining a number of different master alloys. A limited range of items is available produced through mechanical alloying, a process similar to metal powder processing. Custom alloys are generally available as foil, wire, and sheet.
