e-con Systems (St. Louis, MO) has announced the See3CAM_CU30, an ultralow light camera with a USB 3.0 UVC interface. The OEM camera features AR0330, a 1/3-inch, 3.4-megapixel image sensor from OnSemi™. The device captures low-light images at 0.1Lux. The See3CAM_CU30 streams video at 30 frames per second in 720p high definition (HD). 1080p Full HD is achieved at 60 fps. A multi-aspect ratio format allows the camera to capture a 3.4MP still image. At its full resolution of 3.4 megapixels (2304x1536), the See3CAM_CU30 streams at 30 fps over USB 3.0 in MJPEG format, and 25 fps in YUV422 format. An S-mount (M12) lens holder lets customers use application-specific lenses.
