Mushroom Packaging Material
After a few days of incubating, molding, and drying, these mushroom roots are ready to be used as packaging material. Developed by the Green Island, NY-based company Ecovative with help from the National Science Foundation, this biodegradable material is fireproof and a good insulator. Then it can be tossed it in the compost heap.
