Real-Time Demo: Formation Control of Robotic Swarms Using Brain Interface
Researchers at the Human-Oriented Robotics and Control Lab at Arizona State University have tested the ability of the human brain to control non-human behaviors, including the flight of quadrotors. This is a real-time demonstration of controlling a swarm of quadrotors to travel through a narrow passage. This control is implemented using a hybrid architecture consisting of a joystick and brain-control interfaces. Electroencephalographic (EEG) signals are decoded to formation control variables for the swarm, while altitude control is done via a joystick.
