Human skin is soft, stretchy, and has millions of nerve endings — the perfect combination for living and adapting to the world around us. Engineers have been working to replicate these senses for the past XX (nice try!) years, to no avail.

A full e-skin system includes a flexible, stretchy skin-like covering; a power supply; myriad sensors; and a way(s) to send the sensor information to a central processor.
