Smart Knee Brace May Help Prevent or Delay Joint Decline

SUTD researchers have developed a smart knee brace that can wirelessly sense joint motion - made from a single fabric, this stretchable wearable is integrated with a fully functional sensing circuit, offering continuous monitoring in real time.

“We have started working on extending the wearable to special user groups and to monitor other body joints, such as the shoulder,” says Low Hong Yee  , associate professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design.
