Dan Zula is an accomplished professional with a broad range of product development and business experience, who serves as the Director of the Brake Redundancy Product Group at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems. His career spans over 16 years in the commercial vehicle industry including numerous roles in engineering, management, and business development in the OEM and aftermarket segments and responsibility for global teams. Dan has a passion for innovation, which is represented in the more than 25 patents he holds and his history of developing next-generation products for the market. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Andreas Wendel, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer, Kodiak Robotics

Dr. Andreas “Andy” Wendel serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Kodiak. As one of the company’s founding engineers, Andy has built the company’s engineering team from the ground up. Prior to joining Kodiak, he was the Perception Tech Lead at Waymo, where he was part of the small team that launched the first driverless car on public roads. Andy holds a Ph.D. from Graz University of Technology, where he headed the Aerial Vision Group and lectured at the Institute for Computer Graphics and Vision. He has received multiple recognitions for his outstanding work including being named Austria’s Innovator of the Year.
