Argonne’s Upgraded APS will Enable Advances in Battery Design

Argonne is building two new research tools. One is an upgrade of the Advanced Photon Source (APS), while the other is an addition to the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility — Aurora. Together, the two aim to transform how science is carried out — uncovering the secrets of new materials, seeing the evolution of the universe, mapping the human brain, and creating new breakthroughs.
