ORNL’s INTERSECT: An Autonomous Chemistry Lab

Watch this video to learn more about ORNL’s Interconnected Science Ecosystem Initiative, or INTERSECT, which launched in 2022. The project aims to establish an autonomous chemistry lab (ACL) that can operate 24/7 with high precision to greatly accelerate materials discovery and innovation. A robotic platform with three major components will be used: a mobile base, a robotic arm, software/characterization tools including integration/feedback with AI.
