Greater Precision, Rigidity & Loads in Less Space
Increasingly, miniaturization has added the requirement of compactness. One system that can meet all of the above requirements in its conversion of motor torque to linear thrust is the single axis ball screw actuator. Ball screws convert rotary motion to linear motion, or torque to thrust, and vice versa. The ball screw actuator is a combination of a ball screw on which, to eliminate backlash, a slide block or nut’s movement is guided by recirculating steel balls that roll between the block and raceways of guide rails. NB Corporation’s BG Actuator is a high load, single axis actuator with an integrated slide guide and ball screw. The slide block contains not 2, but 4 ball circuits for high load capacity, accuracy and rigidity. The rails and base are formed from solid steel for perfect rigidity.

00:00:06 there are four key advantages in the NB [Music] actuator first no need for adjustment the integration of the slide guide and precision ball screw no tedious accuracy adjustments are needed and simplify mounting procedure [Music] fees second high [Music]
00:00:38 accuracy guide rails and slide blocks are manufactured inhouse therefore High Precision positioning is [Music] possible third High rigidity [Music] compactness and high rigidity are the result of the U shape guide [Music]
00:01:17 rail four ball circuits with fourpoint contacts are applied to the linear guide portion allowing High load capacity fourth compactness a compact footprint is achieved by integrating the slide block inside of the u-shaped guide rail allowing for large space reduction available in six different sizes with options such as varied stroke
