On-Demand Webinars: Power

Next Steps in EV Transmission Development

SPONSORED BY:

Many traction-motor operating ranges are well-suited to light-vehicle applications – and even many commercial vehicles – without the need for multi-ratio transmission. Or are they? This 60-minute webinar from Automotive Engineering examines the latest thinking regarding the potential advantages of multi-speed transmissions for passenger and commercial vehicles. Some considerations may not be purely engineering-related, as some traction-motor developers consider software to simulate gearshifts and other customer-perception aspects of EV propulsion. An audience Q&A session will follow the technical presentation.

Topics include:

  • How to establish a comprehensive validation workflow for EV controller software
  • Seamless transition from software-in-the-loop (SIL) to power hardware-in-the-loop (power-HIL) testing
  • Developing a validation process integrated with virtualization
  • A look at the flexibility of virtualized testing environments
  • Leveraging power-HIL for conducting tests on motor inverters
  • Real world example of virtualization implementation
