Accelerating Time to Market: Tackling NVH Challenges in Electric Vehicles

SPONSORED BY:

The design and development of electric vehicles (EV) poses different NVH engineering challenges compared to vehicles with combustion engines. EVs are heavier, which results in higher tire noise sources, and electric motors and gears generate tonal noise with no or little masking noise, which negatively impacts the perceived sound quality. Additionally, due to EVs’ quieter powertrain at low speeds, customers now expect a quieter cabin at higher speeds when road and wind dominate.

This 30-minute webinar will introduce virtual prototyping solutions that address these challenges at low, mid, and high frequency, covering the entire audible range. The presentation will include results from real application cases in which virtual prototyping reduced vehicle development while balancing the NVH attributes with weight, costs, and packaging constraints without the need for physical prototypes.

An audience Q&A session will follow the technical presentation.
