Advances in computing power and artificial intelligence are shaping digital product-development approaches. Digital twins enable design and engineering teams to explore more design options without the cost associated with the production and testing of physical prototypes as well as allow real-world data to inform product improvements. From designing a new product to optimizing production processes, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency, digital twins can help address an organization’s sustainability goals. This 60-minute webinar from the editors of Tech Briefs will look at the ways digital twins currently are being used in industry for sustainable manufacturing and will discuss approaches to successful adoption of the technology.
Topics include:
- Benefits of digital twins
- Minimizing risk
- Maximizing process reliability
- Eliminating over-design margins
- Reducing energy expenditure
- Digital twins’ role in and impact on modern manufacturing, autonomous manufacturing, and virtual commissioning
- Effects on entire production process, troubleshooting, and training
An audience Q&A session will follow the technical presentation.
