How NIAR Is Advancing AI-Powered Virtual Twin Manufacturing for Aviation

In 2025, Wichita State University and Dassault Systèmes launched a Manufacturing Innovation Center  to accelerate AI‑driven automation, virtual design, and additive manufacturing across the aviation sector.

At the new facility, NIAR is expanding the use of virtual twin technology through the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, enabling engineers to simulate factory layouts, optimize production workflows, and validate complex manufacturing processes before physical implementation.

Dassault Systèmes’ new long‑term partnership  with NVIDIA further strengthens these capabilities by integrating accelerated computing and “physical AI” into virtual twin workflows, creating science‑validated industrial world models that enhance the fidelity, scalability, and automation of digital manufacturing simulations. Together, these advances position NIAR to deliver more autonomous, production‑ready, AI-powered digital engineering solutions for next‑generation aerospace manufacturing.
