Amada Weld Tech (Monrovia, CA) announced the release of its next-generation UB Series Linear DC Resistance Weld Controls, engineered for precision, connectivity, and automation readiness. The latest evolution of the UB platform delivers faster closed-loop feedback, expanded data handling, and enhanced network security helping deliver precise, repeatable results for critical applications. The UB Series incorporates 40 kHz closed-loop feedback, providing even faster and more accurate control of current or voltage compared with previous models. This high-speed sampling ensures precise energy delivery and stable waveforms, resulting in improved weld consistency, reduced part distortion, and higher process reliability. An all-new “Weld to Displacement” feature adds another dimension of control, automatically ending the weld once a programmed displacement target is reached — ideal for delicate or variable materials. Designed for both benchtop use and integration into a fully automated system, the UB Series features a new integrated 10-inch high-resolution touchscreen or optional remote display for flexible installation in production cells. Modular Autonomous Mobile Robot

Igus (Providence, RI) has launched the ReBelMove Pro modular, customizable autonomous mobile robot (AMR) which promises simple configuration with flexible superstructures, easy commissioning, and cost savings. ReBelMove Pro integrates quickly into various industrial processes without any programming experience. This compact AMR boasts a high speed of 6.5 miles per hour, carries up to 550 lbs and can pull more than 1,980 lbs of payload. Navigating its surroundings using LiDAR, 3D sensors and a RealSense camera, ReBelMove Pro can map more than 2,150 square feet in under three minutes, and one charge can last for a full eight-hour workday. Programming the unit’s movements takes as little as 15 minutes without coding skills. In addition, ReBelMove Pro integrates with IT systems with many well-known open interfaces, and it works with popular fleet management tools. A variety of attachments can outfit the ReBelMove Pro for a host of tasks in assembly workstations, material transport and logistics, order picking, and more.

Industrial Picking Robot

Logic (Waltham, MA) offers Octopus, an overhead industrial picking robot that replaces static, floor-bound equipment with an agile, ceiling-mounted system for high-speed case handling. Suspended above existing workflows, Octopus autonomously picks, lifts, and transfers cased goods without consuming aisle space, allowing warehouses and logistics hubs to reclaim the floor for storage density, people, and flow. Rather than relying on a single arm with one dominant tool, Octopus is built as a configurable, multi-arm platform that can be populated with any combination of suction cups, clamps, grippers, and specialized end effectors. Each arm operates as an independent worker that can be choreographed to handle different SKUs, package sizes, and packaging types in parallel, so the system can perform multiple picks and placements at once across mixed loads. Octopus coordinates with Logic Pallets, autonomous mobile platforms that transport and position loads under the robot. Instead of driving pallets to different tools or asking a single robot to adapt mechanically to every task, Logic Pallets navigate to the right Octopus arm based on the needs of each item, order, or workflow.

Electric Linear Actuator

Tolomatic, Inc. (Hamel, MN) has added RSX50 to its RSX Extreme Force family of electric linear actuators. The RSX50 delivers 50 tons of force in a frame footprint nearly identical to the RSX25, representing a significant leap in power density for high-force electric linear motion. The RSX series provides an electric alternative to hydraulic cylinders in industrial applications. Engineered around Tolomatic’s high-precision planetary roller screws, it delivers the force, reliability and environmental compliance that modern manufacturers demand without the mess, complexity and maintenance burden of hydraulics. The series achieves up to 66,000 pounds-force, 59-inch stroke lengths and speeds up to 30 in/sec. Built with Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum housings and an optional IP67 rating, these actuators perform reliably in the harshest environments. Where the RSX25 delivers 25 tons of force, the new RSX50 achieves 50 tons, doubling the force output with just a slightly larger frame. The new model is ideal for high-force applications where precise electric control is replacing legacy hydraulics, including metalforming, such as pressing, punching and stamping, as well as injection molding.

Developed as a cost-effective alternative for delta robot drives, the NDFC delivers reliable performance, high availability, and exceptional robustness. Its design is optimized for the unique kinematics of delta robots. These parallel kinematic systems combine rapid pick-and-place movements with high repeat accuracy, placing specific demands on the inertia, stiffness, and sealing technology of the gearbox. The NDFC addresses these requirements precisely, combining an application-specific drive train with a focus on cost efficiency. The series features gearing parts from the Neugart Precision Line, paired with an input and sealing system optimized for delta robot applications. Its mass-inertia-reduced clamping system allows rapid direction changes, enabling short cycle times. At the same time, the sealing concept optimizes effective sealing at the limited angles of rotation typical of delta robot output shafts. The application-specific sealing design supports high performance, while the mechanical drive train combines low inertia with high transmissible torque. Rapid Operator AI

Vention (Montreal, Canada) has launched Rapid Operator AI, a solution designed to automate complex, unstructured tasks, beginning with deep bin picking. Rapid Operator AI is engineered for mid-market and enterprise manufacturers operating multi-shift facilities where labor shortages and high production variability create operational strain. These applications were previously difficult or economically impractical to automate due to part randomness, clutter, occlusions, and variability in presentation. By combining a standardized core architecture with configurable deployment, Rapid Operator AI enables manufacturers to replicate automation across facilities. At its core, Rapid Operator AI is powered by GRIIP™, Vention’s Generalized Robotic Industrial Intelligence Pipeline. GRIIP delivers a unified pipeline from perception to motion by integrating Vention’s proprietary models with NVIDIA Isaac open models. Real-World Robot Dataset

RealMan Robotics (Beijing, China) recently announced the open-source release of RealSource, the world’s first high-quality, largest-modality multimodal real-world robot dataset, marking a major milestone in breaking data barriers in embodied intelligence. Designed to address the industry’s shortage of fully aligned real-world data, the dataset provides essential support for next-generation robot perception, planning, and control algorithms in both academia and industry. The dataset is built entirely on 10 real-world simulated environments within the Beijing Humanoid Robot Data Training Center and features two defining characteristics: exceptional data quality and the world’s most complete multi-modal coverage. Robots perform lifelike tasks such as opening refrigerator doors, folding laundry, and sorting materials on factory lines, capturing data in realistic, noisy, and diverse environments. Data collection is conducted outside the “laboratory greenhouse,” directly addressing the complexity, noise, and diversity of real-world environments. This ensures high realism, strong practicality, and superior generalization across scenarios. The dataset covers the full perception-decision-execution chain, integrating RGB images, joint angles and velocities, six-axis force, end-effector pose, action commands, timestamps, and camera parameters.

Motor Control Board

The SmartMCD TB9M001FTG is a new motor control development board from MIKROE (Belgrade, Serbia) that enables developers to rapidly provide proof-of-concept, then prototype and code new embedded projects. This relay driver circuit board for automotive body electronics uses a SmartMCD IC, integrating an embedded MCU with low-side and high-side drivers for brushed DC motor and load control. The board offers an advanced solution for the evaluation and control of brushed DC motors and high-current automotive loads. At its core is the TB9M001FTG relay driver IC from Toshiba Semiconductor with integrated low-side and high-side driver outputs and relay control functionality, enabling direct control of actuators, motors, and power loads. The board features a TB9M001FTG ARM® Cortex ®-M0 core with maximum frequency of 40MHz, and built-in memories like 192KB Code Flash and 12KB ROM. It supports control of two high-current brushed DC motor channels through onboard solid-state relays rated up to 20A per channel. The board’s compact design, measuring 130 mm × 73 mm, includes all circuits needed for motor control and switches for operational testing.

Industrial Gear Units

Top-Entry Control Valve

Emerson (Marshalltown, IO) has introduced the Fisher™ IC2 Cryogenic Top-Entry Control Valve, ideal for cold box applications in air separation units, hydrogen liquefaction, and LNG production. Cold boxes are insulated enclosures that house cryogenic equipment, such as heat exchangers, distillation columns, piping and valves. The IC2 control valve meets the stringent demands of extremely low-temperature environments, operating reliably at temperatures as low as -452 °F. The valve includes high-performance cryogenic enhancements, including a narrow extension diameter and fluid baffle. These components work together to minimize heat conduction, thereby reducing the energy required to maintain process fluid temperatures, while enhancing overall operational sustainability. The valve’s Fisher enhanced ENVIRO-SEAL™ packing system and bellows limit leakage to a maximum of 100 parts per million by volume, meeting or surpassing U.S. EPA standards. It provides longevity with its hardened trim materials, enhanced ENVIRO-SEAL packing and metal-to-metal seating.
