Innovations in Type 2 Conversion Coatings from CHEMEON

The SAE Aerospace Materials and Manufacturing Summit invited CHEMEON to present the latest innovations in Type 2 Trivalent Conversion Coatings. CHEMEON announced our latest advanced corrosion protection process innovation — ECC-PRO™ Electrolytic Conversion Coating Process — and its planned inclusion in the upcoming MIL-DTL 81706 revision C. The presentation details the continued global adoption of CHEMEON’s patented eTCP® line of ready-to-use (RTU), powder, and SurfGard field-repair trivalent chemistries. From eTCP usage on 3D-printed aluminum components to work with the U.S. Navy, Marines, and Army Missile Command, the distinctive visual color indicator of eTCP® is rapidly replacing toxic hexavalent chrome across the most demanding aerospace, satellite, defense, and industrial programs.
