Shock Accelerometer

Meggitt Sensing Systems (San Juan Capistrano, CA) offers the Endevco® Model 7268C miniature triaxial piezoresistive accelerometer designed for measurement of short-duration shock across three axes and in three orthogonal directions. Housed in a package measuring 12.7 × 10.7 × 13.7 mm, the device is available in ranges of 500g, rugged to 5,000g shock with 17 kHz resonant frequency; and 2,000g, rugged to 10,000g shock with 26 kHz resonant frequency. Sensor frequency response is 0 to 3,000 Hz on the Z-axis, and 0 to 1,500 Hz on the X and Y axes. The sensor incorporates integral mechanical stops for overrange protection, with two fixed resistors, enabling shunt calibration on each axis. Units are supplied with integral cable.
