Reciprocating Linear Drive

The Amacoil-Uhing Kinemax reciprocating linear drive from Amacoil (Aston, PA) features pitch adjustment and automatic reversal without requiring clutches, cams, or gears. A ten-toone pitch adjustment range is possible by turning the dial on the front of the drive unit. The unit reverses direction automatically without reversing the drive motor. A mechanical reversal device changes drive nut travel direction with no interruptions in operation and without adjusting any controls.

Featuring a rugged composite housing, the drive has 7 pounds of axial thrust and is suitable for light-duty linear motion applications with low drive torque requirements. The unit mounts on a standard 15-mm, case-hardened ground shaft. The drive may be mounted for vertical, horizontal, or diagonal linear movement where reversal time is not more than once every two seconds. Stroke lengths of ½" to about 24" are possible.
