Infrared Detectors

Cal Sensors (Santa Rosa, CA) has announced two new infrared detector lines. The first is a new line of single element PbS detectors designed for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications such as fire safety and flame detection, as well as process and quality control applications. The second is a new line of multi-channel PbS and PbSe detectors that provide sensitivity across the one to five micron wavelength range. The detectors feature real time correction for varying operational conditions, making them suitable for a variety of applications including industrial and medical gas analysis, auto and aviation emissions analysis, environmental applications such as stack monitoring, greenhouse gas analysis and overseeing air quality in confined spaces.
