Jeremy Frenznick, Senior Director of Engineering, Dana Incorporated

Jeremy Frenznick serves as Senior Director of Engineering for Dana’s Commercial Vehicle (CV) Drive and Motion Systems business, where he is responsible for applications and advanced engineering for the business. He helps to lead the innovation strategy for CV and provide a stronger customer-centric focus. Jeremy joined Dana in 2011 and has served as director of product engineering for driveline component design, senior manager of CV applications, and in other positions. A certified Shainin® Red X Master, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University and a master’s degree in engineering management from Lawrence Technological University.

Jeff Prout, Vice President of Product Technology, Amsted Automotive

Jeff Prout is the Vice President of Product Technology for Amsted Automotive. His career with the company spans 25 years, all of which has been focused on the design and development of clutching technology. During his career, Jeff has played a key role in guiding the design and launch of over a dozen clutch systems for multiple automotive manufacturers. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and has seven mechanical clutching design and manufacturing patents, which he has received during his time with Amsted.

Chris Shamie, Vice President, Hybrid Systems and eAxles, Schaeffler

Chris Shamie currently serves as the Vice President of Hybrid Systems and eAxles at Schaeffler. In this role, he supports a global team to deliver eMobility solutions for a wide range of vehicles, from sports cars to SUVs to heavy-duty trucks. Chris joined Schaeffler in 2001 and has served in multiple roles focused on the development of manual clutches, torque converters, hybrid systems, and eAxles. Some of Chris’ notable projects include the 6F35 Torque Converter, the 6R80 Torque Converter, and the 10R80 OWC. Chris is passionate about battery-electric vehicles, their instant torque, and eMobility. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
