The Spectroline® EK-3000 EagleEye™ UV-A/White Light LED Inspection Kit (patents pending) from Spectronics Corp. (Westbury, NY) features the palm-sized, cool-running EagleEye inspection lamp. The kit is engineered with two ultra-high intensity UV-A (365nm) LEDs, plus a three- LED white light assembly for general illumination. An adjustable strap allows the lamp to be worn on a hard hat or directly on the head for hands-free operation. A unique lamp mount/sprayer attachment permits the lamp and a spray to be mounted together for convenient, single-handed fluorescent yoke inspection.

The EagleEye lamp produces a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 4,500 μW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm). A built-in fan keeps the lamp cool during prolonged inspections. Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included), the lamp provides up to 75 minutes of continuous inspection between charges. The kit includes a lanyard, two replacement splash guards with integral particulate filters, three spare batteries, a battery-charging cradle with AC and DC cord sets, and UV-absorbing spectacles.
