Alternative Vision Corp., Tucson, AZ, has released the f/1.4 SWIR lens series from Optec. The lens line is designed for large-format (20.5 mm) shortwave infrared (SWIR) imagers, and combines high throughput with low vignetting and distortion. The lenses are optimized for use with indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) SWIR sensors. Individual models support 900-1700 nm, 1700-2300 nm, and 900-2300 nm wavelength bands.

The lenses are available in five focal lengths ranging from 25 mm to 100 mm. They feature a front protective window and a choice of lens mounts. They also feature standard front threads for bandpass filters and allow for a large working distance from the back of the lens to the focal plane. All models feature an adjustable iris and adjustable focus that can be motorized.
