International Rectifier (El Segundo, CA) has released the AUIRS2301S 600V integrated circuit for automotive motor drives, micro-inverter drives, and three-phase inverter applications. The rugged, general-purpose driver IC features independent high- and low-side referenced output channels and a gate drive supply range from 5 to 20V. The output drivers feature a high-pulse current buffer stage for minimum driver cross-conduction. The floating channel can be used to drive N-channel power MOSFETs or IGBTs in the high-side configuration operating up to 600V.

The IC features negative voltage spike immunity to protect the system from catastrophic events during high-current switching and short-circuit conditions. The device is 3.3V, 5V, and 15V logiccompatible with standard CMOS or LSTTL output, and features output current capability of 120mA/250mA, under-voltage lockout and matched propagation delays for both channels, outputs in phase with inputs, and lower di/dt gate driver.
