Ultra-Pure Graphene

Goodfellow, Coraopolis, PA, offers ultra-pure “green” graphene that is metal-free and applicable in metal-sensitive processes. The graphene is produced using a scalable process that involves breaking methane gas (CH4) into hydrogen and elemental carbon atoms in a plasma reactor. The carbon atoms then recombine into graphene sheets in the hydrogen atmosphere. The resulting graphene nanoplatelets are very thin and slightly crumpled, and they do not stack, making them suitable for electronic inks, polymers, metal composites, and coating.

Panel Detector

Detection Technology, Billerica, MA, offers the X-Tile powered panel detector for industrial applications that enables real-time video monitoring of material flow with a speed of 10,000 frames per second. The detector can be used for monitoring flow of liquids in pipelines and cavities, and for capturing real-time video of running motors. The plug-and-play solution is equipped with a data acquisition system and a Gigabit Ethernet interface. The detector operates with a pixelated ceramic scintillator coupled to a backside illuminated (BSI) photodiode.

Electronic DC Loads

SIGLENT Technologies, Solon, OH, introduced the SDL1000X and SDL1000X-E series of programmable electronic DC loads designed for battery, solar cell, and power supply testing. The SDL1020X/X-E offers input range of 150 V/30 A with 200 W total power dissipation; the SDL1030X/X-E has an input range of 150 V/30 A up to 300 W. A 4-wire sense compensation mode is implemented to remove errors due to a voltage drop in the connection wires. All models come with a 3.5” TFT-LCD display.

Surface-Mount Test Points

Keystone Electronics, New Hyde Park, NY, introduced a series of surface-mountable test points with colored insulator bases that replace wire-wrap posts and turret terminals. The test points are manufactured in phosphor bronze with a silver plate and low electrical resistance. The colored identification bases are manufactured of high-temperature nylon and are suitable for most SMT reflow solder operations with an operating temperature of up to 150 °C. Test points are available in ten colored bases and can be used with various gripping devices, hooks, tips, and probes.
