Teledyne DALSA (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) has introduced nine new Genie Nano area cameras. Built around ON Semiconductor’s Python CMOS image sensors, the cameras include two inputs, two opto-coupled outputs, and a temperature range of -20 to 60°C. The 44 × 29 × 21 mm devices are available in three resolutions: 640 × 480 (running up to 850 frames per second in VGA), 800 × 600, and 1280 × 1024 pixels, in monochrome, color, and near infrared (NIR). Each camera weighs 46 grams.
