Cornell Dubilier Electronics, Liberty, SC, introduced Slimpack type MLSH hermetically sealed aluminum electrolytic capacitors that feature a glass-to-metal seal that prevents dry-out. The capacitors can replace parallel and series banks of wet tantalum capacitors for new and existing designs, especially where bulk storage is paramount. The capacitors measure 1.0 × 1.5 × 0.5" and offer more capacitance than a parallel bank of three or more wet tantalum capacitors at -55 °C.
