Our lead INSIDER story today featured a proof-of-concept robot that moves at almost 3 body lengths a second.

“Our next step and ambitious goal is to beat the cheetah in terms of relative speed by scaling down the robot size to insect-size or even microscale size,” lead researcher Jie Yin told Tech Briefs.

The cheetah's speed is 16 body lengths/second, per second.
