Our lead story today highlighted a hypothesis from astrophysicist Dimitra Atri. Atri believes that the sub-surface conditions of Mars could be home to organic molecules.
“If we detect life on Mars, it will help us understand how life fits in a broader astrophysical context and hopefully help us understand the physical underpinning of life!” Atri told Tech Briefs.
The ExoMars mission, planned for 2022, will use the Rosalind Franklin rover to examine sub-surface samples on Mars.
What do you think? Will Rovers Find Life Below the Surface of Mars?
