Our “5 Ws” feature this month highlighted skin-like electronic circuits being developed at Virginia Tech.
The electronics are soft and stretchy, sustain punctures without losing electrical conductivity, and can be recycled to generate new circuits at the end of a product’s life. Such characteristics support new kinds of wearables, soft robotics, and even stretchable smartphones that take damage and still don’t miss a call.
What do you think? Will Stretchable Smartphones Catch On?
