USB1032 industrial-grade microcontroller

Micro/sys (Montrose, CA) has released a host microcontroller equipped with StackableUSB architecture. The USB1032 industrial-grade microcontroller allows OEMs to fit their control system within a 1.85" x 1.78" footprint. Powered by the Microchip PIC32, the USB1032 provides 125 DMIPS performance while using only 100mA of power. The microcontroller features an 80MHz system clock, 512 KB flash, 32 KB SRAM of memory, and onboard RS232 transceiver. Additional features include a 10-bit ADC, eight programmable LEDs, digital I/O, and the PIC32’s easy-to-use and solidly supported software tools.

The power-efficient board offers -40° to +85° C operation. For applications requiring additional capabilities, the USB1032 can easily and cost-effectively stack one or more (up to 10) of the various StackableUSB client-side industrial I/O. Connecting via StackableUSB, an OEM using the USB1032 as a Host can create a powerful system suitable for military-grade environments.
