Moxa Technologies, Inc. (Taipei, Taiwan) offers the DA- 660, DA-661, DA-662, and DA-663 models of the ThinkCore RISCbased embedded computers series designed for use in harsh environments. The computers feature 8 or 16 RS-232/422/485 serial ports, multiple Ethernet or fiber ports, and are based on the Intel XScale IXP-422/425 communication processors.

ImageThey are enclosed in a 1U, 19-inch wide rack-mounted housing. The DA-660 line can accept a range of power inputs from 100 to 240V, either AC or DC. They feature a fan-less design and come with PCMCIA, CompactFlash, and USB sockets for storage expansion. The line of computers incorporate the Linux or Windows CE 5.0 operating systems supporting Windows Tool Chain, serial to Ethernet protocols, web server, database, middlewares, and drivers. Linux's JFFS2 and Windows CE's TFAT file systems can log all file access data with a time stamp to prevent the file system from crashing when data is being written to it and power is lost.
