Basler Vision Technologies, Barrington, NJ, has introduced new features to its Basler Runner GigE Line Scan Camera, adding Shading Correction, Multiplier, and Divider features. The Shading Correction option can be used to compensate for non-homogenous lighting conditions and more accurately detect defects. The Divider functionality reduces the frequency of an incoming trigger signal, while the Multiplier increases the trigger signal frequency. To create the correct line acquisition rate for the camera, the input/output features offer transformations for trigger and encoder signals from a conveyer belt. Both features can be implemented by determining the correct parameters, which can be adjusted within a wide range. In order to accommodate the required line trigger frequency over the broadest variety of applications, the options can be used simultaneously.
