4DSP, Reno, NV, offers the FM577 FPGA platform for vision systems based on a dual ALTERA® Cyclone III FPGA device architecture for data acquisition and processing. It also features the EP3C40 for communication interfaces. Both FPGA devices offer a total of 160K logic elements, 400+ 18-bit embedded multipliers at 260 MHz, up to 5-Mbits of on-chip SRAM, and up to 4 GBytes of DDR2 SDRAM on-board. The FPGA platform enables integration of CameraLink frame-grabbing, imaging processing, and real-time JPEG2000 compression.
