Vision Components, Hudson, NH, has introduced the VCSBC64XX series of stereo single-board cameras with a computational power of 7200 MIPS, 256 MB DDRAM, 16-MB Flash EPROM for program and data storage, and can be equipped with multiple head options. The cameras feature the internal VCRT real-time operating system that enables user interface commands to execute in parallel without stopping the inspection process.

The cameras feature a video output onto a PC via a 1-GB Ethernet interface, and a high-speed trigger input with absolute constant capture delay, which allows jitter-free image acquisition and synchronization of the two heads at high speeds. The cameras are resistant to shock and vibration, and have multiple I/O lines for direct control of external equipment.
