The KE/KW series of digital intelligent servo converters from AMK Drives and Controls (Richmond, VA) is comprised of infeed and modules in the power range up to 60 kVA. A compact system, the unit measures 170 × 320 × 160 mm. Using coldplate cooling, power losses in the control cabinet are reduced by placing the unit on a cooled backplane. Up to 32 synchronous servo axes can be controlled for each infeed module, allowing freedom to position the modules.

Networking the modules with an ACC bus allows access from any module to all data at the other modules, with synchronized, timed transfer. The open system offers compatibility with a number of globally standardized interfaces, and can integrate a PLC with preprogrammable, high-speed, open and closed loop control functions.
