The SR linear positioning stages from H2W Technologies (Valencia, CA) are compact, lightweight, and have a small footprint. They offer speed of 6 m/sec, acceleration up to 12 g’s, zero cogging, high resolution to 0.1 μm, repeatability to ±1 μm, and load capacity to 25 Kg. The non-contact, three-phase brushless motors have continuous forces up to 733 N and peak forces up to 2444 N. They feature an ironless core winding, and the motor can be commutated either sinusoidally or trapezoidally.

The positioning stages are available in travel lengths as long as 10' and can be supplied with a magnetic, glass, or metal scale linear encoder with reference mark and limit switches. The stages can be supplied vacuum-compatible, with custom mounting holes. They also can be specified as part of a complete motion control system, including an SR stage, amplifier, and controller. The stages are used for medical parts testing, high-precision printing, Y-axis for pick-and-place equipment and robotics, vision inspection, flight simulators, and parts transfer.
