MISUMI USA Inc. (Schaumburg, IL) has introduced a family of self-lubricating linear bushings in assorted styles, with straight or mini-flanged versions. The bushings carry three times the rated life span of conventional bushings.

The performance of these bushings centers on the design of its MX lubrication unit. An integral fiber pad delivers the lubricant to the shaft surface through a capillary action, thus maintaining a constant lubricating film between ball bearing and shaft. This design extends the maintenance interval on the linear bearings, saving time for applications involving numerous mountings or difficult access. The design also reduces assembly time, as these bushings are pre-loaded with lithum soap-based grease.

The bushings come in single or double bushing lengths with either flangeless, round, square or compact mini-flanged styles. The bushings are made of high-quality 52100 bearing steel with Duracone M90 or equivalent resin pad cases and retainers, plus Nitrile rubber seals. They are rated to operate over a -20 to +80ºC range.
