Sensors Unlimited, Goodrich Corp. (Princeton, NJ) has announced the SU640SDWH-1.7RT high-frame-rate, high-resolution, shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera. The indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) camera has regions of interest (ROI) windowing capabilities with high-sensitivity SWIR spectral response from 900 nm to 1,700 nm. The 640 × 512 pixel focal plane array on a 25-micron pitch captures full-size images at 109 frames per second, or can image smaller regions of interest at over 15,000 frames per second with 100% fill factor.

The solid-state camera features room-temperature focal plane array operation with a single, 14-bit digital Camera Link®-compatible output and a simultaneous analog video NTSC output. It can be controlled by serial commands that permit users to control the ROI window size, position, and integration time. External triggering of full frame or ROI acquisition and user-programmable exposure times enable the camera to capture pulsed or high-speed events in low light conditions.
