Electron Tubes (Rockaway, NJ) has released the DM0060C miniature photon counting detector with RS-232 interface for plate readers used in chemiluminescence and bioluminescence applications. Comprised of a photomultiplier, a high voltage supply, an amplifier/discriminator, and a microcontroller, the detector requires an external +5V bias. Output is provided via an RS-232 interface, and all models are available with a spectral response of 280 to 850 nm. The detector comes with Windows®-compatible software.
